Contrary to popular opinion, the life of a celebrity is far from perfect. Celebrities face the constant pressure of being in the spotlight, while still dealing with all of the imperfections that come with being human. Alec Baldwin - Alec Baldwin lives with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Baldwin admits that the disorder greatly affects his life and has even caused him to miss flights because he felt the need to properly clean his silverware.
Barbara Steisand – Barbara Streisand has battled Social Anxiety Disorder for decades. As a famous singer, her anxiety surrounding appearing on stage has greatly affected her life. After forgetting lyrics at a concert in 1967, Barbara remained out of the spotlight for almost thirty years. In recent years, she has been controlling her anxiety by using teleprompters at concerts, taking anti-anxiety medication, and seeing a therapist.
Donny Osmond – Donny Osmond has been diagnosed with Social Anxiety Disorder. Osmond’s fame at an early age resulted in him experiencing a tremendous amount of anxiety. His disorder has occasionally caused him to forget the lyrics to his songs and to suffer panic attacks while on stage.
Kim Basinger – Kim Basinger has been very open about her experiences with anxiety and panic attacks. The successful actress stared in an HBO special entitled Panic: A Film About Coping. Basinger has experienced multiple panic attacks and has dealt with anxiety her entire life.
Michael Jackson – Michael Jackson suffered from debilitating anxiety and panic attacks. His fame and fortune, and the confusing mix of love and hatred he received from the public, placed the King of Pop under a tremendous amount of pressure. Unfortunately, Jackson relied too heavily on medication(it is estimated he was taking 5 different medications near the end of his life) and it eventually led to an overdose.
Nichole Kidman - Nichole Kidman admits to experiencing panic attacks during high-pressure situations(such as the premier of a new film). Kidman instructs her bodyguards to ensure that she has enough space to move freely when she is in crowded spaces, so that she feels in control. The world-famous actress also suffers from occasional insomnia.
