Anxiety and Freud’s Theory of Unconscious Conflict

New research reveals that unconscious conflict, one of Sigmund Freud’s theories, has a greater influence on anxiety and phobias than was once thought. The results of the research study, which was held at the University of Michigan, were presented on Friday, June 16th at the Annual Meeting of the American Psychoanalytic Association. The study included 11 participants who had each been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder.
